Virginia Arts Festival Rhythm Project All Stars

A Rousing Start to the Conference
You won’t want to miss Friday morning’s performance by the Virginia Arts Festival Rhythm Project All Stars. These talented youth perform all over the Commonwealth. We are delighted they will join us and most appreciative to Djembe Direct for their sponsorship of this appearance. Be ready to tap your toes, clap your hands, and be impressed! See them online at www.rhythmproject.org.

Special Invitation to Principals
VSACCA is joined by The National Association of Elementary School Principals, The Virginia Association of Elementary School Principals to invite principals and school leaders to attend a special workshop Collaboration Strategies for Principals and After-School Program Directors. For those who can’t join in the full conference, separate registration is available for this special workshop.

In this session, Principals, school leaders and after-school program directors will engage in activities and discussions to provide a deeper understanding of their work and of the opportunities that are possible with greater collaboration.

Based on the NAESP guidebook Leading After-School Learning Communities – What Principals Should Know and Be Able to Do, the workshop will be led by a Newport News team of Patricia M. Tilghman, Principal, Sedgefield Elementary School and Crystal Tragesser, Assistant Recreation Center Supervisor. To register for only this workshop (lunch included), click here.
