The annual education and information event for the afterschool, out-of-school, and school-age child care professionals in Virginia is now accepting proposals for workshop presentations - and you are invited to share your concepts and best practices with this audience.

The submission process is online only or via email (use online form as a guide).

Elements for submission to include:

1. Name, agency/organization, contact information (one or two presenters).
2. Working title of workshop.
3. Description of content (up to 35 words).
4. One paragraph (maximum) as to why this paper should be selected.
5. Session style: Theater, Classroom, Interactive (round tables), Perimeter (Chairs only with central space for activities).
   
6. Audio visual requirements (some charges may apply).

The first deadline for submission is June 29, 2007. Proposals will be reviewed and results communicated by July 31. If necessary, there would be a second round of submitting, review, and acceptance.

Considerations for acceptance will primarily relate to significance, innovation, applicability and appeal of topic. Style and scope of presentation, prior presentations, state of residence, and presenting agency may be taken into consideration in the decision.

Upon acceptance, the presenter will be asked to provide the following in order to participate:

1. Commitment to present on either October 26 (Friday) or October 27 (Saturday), as scheduled.
2. Confirmation if attending to present session only, day of presentation only or both days of conference.
3. Outline of the presentation.
4. Handouts, if applicable.

One presenter from each workshop is invited to attend both days as a guest of VSACCA.
